healthy choices
Mademoiselle asked:

At school I have pop tarts every morning for breakfast. I **** eating so unhealthily, but I am always starving and there is not much to choose from. When I grab an apple to take to eat instead, I’m still always hungry. What’s something I can easily take with me but is healthy and for breakfast?

Yogurt. You can mix yogurt with your favorite fresh fruit the night before (strawberries, blueberries, etc.). In the morning just add granola and some wheat germ. It’s healthy, low in fat, tastes great and is quick. I pack this to go and eat it at my desk at work. Yummmmm

normally quick=/= healthy
i’d advise just to eat a variety of things…

fresh fruit
drinkable yogurt
non-sugar-blasted cereal/breakfast bar
or make your own breakfast bar and put things that you like in it: dried fruits, nuts, etc

if you are still hungry, add some protien. Have that apple, but take a slice of whole grain bread with some peanut butter spread on it.

Grab an apple and a couple pieces of string cheese. The protein in the string cheese will stick with you longer and you won’t get so hungry.

Granola bars or cereal bars would be a healthier choice than pop tarts, but not as healthy as the fruit and cheese.

Hard boiled eggs are quick too. Just peel them ahead of time and store in a plastic bag.

A peanut butter and jelley sandwich on whole grain bread wouldn’t be bad, either. Sounds strange for breakfast, but why not?
